Jasper Maatman is a chef who cooks the way he lives: hard, honest, and with raw energy. He combines worldly flavors with an instinct for rebellion, builds tension between fire and freshness, and dares to let contrasts clash into something irresistible. His kitchen is an 'international cuisine' with Asian spice, Latin American acidity, European precision, and street-food soul.
JASPER
Sami brings together the flavors of Tehran to Tokyo. She grew up surrounded by Iranian scents and stories. After years of traveling in Southeast Asia, she came to know the heartbeat of Asia, combining the finesse of Japanese and Korean cuisine with the 'less is more' approach of Vietnam—where she also opened her first restaurant.
Later, in Ghent, she founded The Mistress, a personal ode to taste and femininity. Today, she continues her story at KINO, a new chapter in Sami's culinary journey.

JONAS
Jonas is the third narrator of the trio. World traveler, writer, film enthusiast, and wine lover. We couldn't imagine a better host for KINO: 'pairing' is the name of the game for Jonas. He is therefore nicknamed 'Quentin Tannino' in the corridors.
